He steps into the role after he has been the head coach of the JV team at Mattituck for the past five years. Tardif takes over for Dan O’Sullivan, who was the varsity coach for six years. Sayville squared off against Wantagh on Thursday afternoon at Middle Country Athletic Complex. Wantagh started Oneonta-commit Christian Danzilo on the mound for the championship matchup, while Andrew Law got the nod for Sayville.
