Mike Postilio heads into his 13th year as head coach of the Oceanside varsity squad.  The Sailors finished with a record of 15-7 last spring, reaching the playoffs and finishing in the final four. After finishing the 2025 season with a 11-12 record, including a playoff run which saw them beat MacArthur in the first round before being eliminated to the eventual county champions, Garden City. Going into another season in the tough AA-2 Conference, Rotondaro and his team are ready to go into battle in 2026. “I feel we had a strong year with a mixed group of seniors and underclassmen in 2025.” Rotondaro said. The 1st place South Shore took care of business in what would be a blowout victory for them, taking the game 16-0 over Ghost. The twin bill featured offense of all sorts on both sides, with some superb pitching as well. The Longhorns and Mayhem split the double header having identical scores in both games.
