Division-I:
St. John’s
St. John’s powered its way to the top of the BIG EAST standings with an 11-3 win over Creighton on Saturday at Jack Kaiser Stadium. The Red Storm (26-20, 11-3 BIG EAST) used a five-run sixth inning to break open the game and secure the series victory. Jon LeGrande led the charge, going 3-for-4 with a three-run homer, a double, four RBIs, and three runs scored. Adam Agresti launched his 17th home run of the season, while Dylan Fitzsimmons added a 418 foot solo blast to extend the lead. After falling behind 3-2, St. John’s responded with timely hits from LeGrande and Jayder Raifstanger before Agresti’s two-run shot put the game out of reach. On the mound, Evan Chaffee allowed one run over 5.1 innings and Jack Nestler closed it out with 3.2 scoreless innings to seal the win.
Hofstra
Hofstra came up just short in a 6-5 loss to Towson after a late comeback attempt in the ninth inning. The Pride trailed 6-3 entering the final frame but rallied to put the tying and winning runs in scoring position. Michael Brown and Tyler Cox delivered clutch RBIs to cut the deficit to one. Cox led the offense with three hits and two RBIs, while Michael Craig added two hits and scored twice. Towson starter Aden Knowles held Hofstra in check early, carrying a no-hitter into the sixth inning. Despite the late push, the Pride couldn’t complete the comeback as the series moved to a decisive Sunday finale.
LIU
LIU stormed back from a five run deficit to defeat Mercyhurst, 6-5, in dramatic fashion on Saturday. Trailing 5-0 entering the seventh, LIU chipped away before delivering a two-run homer in the ninth to take the lead. The comeback was fueled by timely hitting and capitalizing on late game opportunities. Mercyhurst starter Nate Vargo had dominated early, allowing just one run over seven innings. However, the bullpen faltered as LIU scored five runs over the final three innings. The win improved LIU to 21-18 overall and 19-6 in NEC play.
Fordham
Fordham dropped a tough 6-5 decision to Rhode Island on a walk off home run in the ninth inning. The Rams battled back to tie the game in the eighth inning with bases-loaded walks from Madden Ocko and Mason Dean. Fordham had taken an earlier lead with steady scoring across the middle innings. Rhode Island responded with a three-run sixth inning to regain control before the late drama. In the bottom of the ninth, Aidan Botti ended the game with a solo home run. The loss dropped Fordham to 23-25 overall and 13-10 in Atlantic 10 play.
Stony Brook
Stony Brook dominated UMass Lowell in an 11-1 run-rule victory behind a standout offensive performance. Chanz Doughty led the way with six RBIs, including a bases clearing double that broke the game open. The Seawolves built their lead through consistent hitting and strong situational execution. Micah Worley was excellent on the mound, tossing five scoreless innings with four strikeouts. Stony Brook’s offense continued to add on late, enforcing the mercy rule in the seventh inning. The win highlighted both the team’s offensive depth and pitching strength heading into the series finale.
Division-II:
Molloy
Molloy capped off its regular season with a dominant 19-6 win over Staten Island. The Lions erupted for eight runs in the first inning to take early control of the game. Multiple players contributed offensively; with three hits apiece by Steve Mulqueen, Charlie Imhof and Jeremy Taggart. The team added five more runs late, powered in part by home runs by Jack Vallario and Matt Nowlan to extend the lead. On the mound, Molloy received a solid outing by JC Kiss for his 7th win of the season. With the win, the Lions secured the top seed in the ECC tournament and tied a program record with 36 regular season victories.
Division-III:
Farmingdale State
Farmingdale State extended its winning streak to 18 games with a doubleheader sweep over Old Westbury. The Rams won Game 1, 7-4, behind the strong offensive production of Richie Heyder and Ryan Wasserman who each had three hits. TJ Cox improved to 6-0 with the win and Derek Watts notched his sixth save. In Game 2, the teams battled back and forth before Mike Kocovic delivered a walk-off squeeze bunt in the ninth inning. Farmingdale showed resilience, responding to a late deficit with a game tying home run from Christopher Sais. Several players recorded multi hit performances across the two games, highlighting the team’s depth. With the sweep, the Rams clinched the No. 1 seed in the Skyline Conference Championship.
Maritime
The Privateers swept SUNY Purchase by the scores of 14-7 and 10-0. Joe Sorge and Ryan Morash were the winning pitchers. In Game 1, it was a power display as they got homers from Alex Bardi, Dylan Payano, Owen Weber and Guytano Kiesel. Bardi drove in five runs to continue his outstanding season. In Game 2, Morash was outstanding; striking out 10 over a complete game shutout. Alex Bardi homered again and Joey Goodman homered as well. Maritime secured a share of the regular season title for the first time in program history and clinched the No. 2 seed.
USMMA
The Mariners split a double header with Manhattanville, who they will now face on Wednesday in the opening round of the Skyline Conference tournament. After losing 7-6 in game 1, they bounced back with a mighty 18-5 win which included 22 hits. They broke the game open with five runs in the fourth inning and four runs in the fifth inning and exploded for seven runs in the ninth inning. Charles Cahalan, Axel Prechel and Jason Brown all had three hits.
