On Friday, Time to Sign hosted their annual Fall Feature Showcase at LI Field House in Hauppauge, NY. There was a terrific turnout of local colleges in attendance:
- St.John’s
- Sony Brook
- Hofstra
- LIU
- Fairfield
- Iona
- Sacred Heart
- NJIT
- St. Peter’s
- NYU
- Mount Saint Vincent
- Suffolk CC
There were a handful of standout performers at the showcase. Here’s some that stood out.

Christos delivery is perfectly compact and efficient. He has tempo and moves in rhythm. The fastball explodes out of his hand and he pounded the strike zone. He mixes in a sharp breaking ball and change up that was dotted to the arm side. The arm slot was the same for all of his pitches. He has the makings of a Division-I pitcher.

Very athletic mover. Fastball will generate plenty of swing-and-miss with its ride. Showed command of his off-speed pitches as well with a change up at 75-76 and it was on the corners. High-end Division-II athlete.

He had the highest exit velocity in attendance at 101.9. Made consistent, loud contact. Stands around 5’10, but a very physical athlete. He showed reliable hands during the infield portion with a strong 83 mph throw. Additionally, he ran a showcase best 3.91 30-yard dash. High-end Division-II athlete.

The 6’0 infielder showed tremendously quick bat speed which generated exit velocities consistently around 100 MPH with a peak velo of 101.4. Very balanced swing, which was equally as impressive. He was second in 30-yard dash time at 3.95. Very athletic mover in the field. Borderline Division-I athlete.

It is rare you see a 6’4 catcher. Zizza is at the top of the scale in terms of size at the position. If he grows another inch, 1st base may have to be a necessary move. However, he handles the catcher position very well. He has a strong arm and moves well. His calling card is his bat. He had a max exit Velo of 93.4. Only a 10th grader, there is still plenty of room for improvement there. If he continues to progress, he should be a Division-I bat.

I really liked his balance & aggressive approach. His round of BP was very impressive as he really maximizes his body and had a tremendous feel for getting the barrel on the ball. Very solid defensively behind the dish – accurate throws to second base. The 17-year-old looks really for the next level.
