May is always chaos for Long Island baseball. With the combination of Division-III conference championships intersecting with Division-II postseason this week, which turns into Division-II Regionals intersecting with Division-I postseason and high school postseason next week which turns into the Long Island Championships for Class AA, A, B and C.
Needless to say it’s a crazy time for us, but you have to love it.
As opposed to the Power Rankings, we are going to do something different. That’s because this deep into the season, it’s pretty much clear how the teams stack up. Here’s what you can follow along with this week.
*Note: The ECC playoff seeds will be set following today’s Queens @ LIU Post games.
Monday:
Queens @ LIU Post 3pm (ECC Regular Season Finale)
USMMA @ Farmingdale State 3pm (Skyline Conference Playoffs)
LOSER of that game vs Old Westury 6pm (Skyline Conference (Playoffs)
Tuesday:
Winners of both games play at 4pm (Skylone Conference Playoffs)
*If necessary, winner-take-all at 7pm (Skyline Conference Playoffs)
Southern Connecticut @ Adelphi 3pm (Northeast-10 Playoffs)
Thursday:
Bridgeport @ NYIT 12pm (ECC Playoffs)
Friday-Saturday
ECC and Northeast-10 Postseason
